Episode 9: Permission to Put your Passion on Hold

On today’s episode of the podcast, Mary Saltzmann shares her decision to put a passion on hold in order to raise her children. God gave me writing back after I had surrendered it to him in a way that was not at all what I expected but it’s really incredible.

Putting a passion on hold

[27:50] In this segment, we get to hear Mary talk about her journey as a writer. She shares about what brought her to writing and her decision to put her passion on hold early in motherhood. Mary talks about how she dealt with bitterness and resentment and how surrender was the answer. Surrendering her life to God meant that she was to fully embrace her call as a mother. That is what God was calling her to focus on.
