I’M JEANETTE
and I'm giving
myself Permission to Pursue
I am a Catholic homeschooling mom of 4. I married my high school sweetheart, Eric, and we live in a multigenerational household in Southern California. In 2015, I left my 8 year career as a high school Theology teacher and began my journey as a home educator.
The transition from full time working mom to stay at home mom was extremely challenging for me. I was ill prepared for the demands of “at home” motherhood and for the first few years I felt isolated, incompetent, and lost. Life as a SAHM seemed to expose all my weaknesses. On top of that, my natural gifts and talents were going unused. All the big questions about my identity began to surface as I tried to rediscover who I was.
It has been a long journey and lots of prayer, but I feel like I’m finally getting my feet under me again.
I strongly believe that God has a unique call for each of us and only we can bring that specific contribution into the world. When we dig into the desires of our heart and invite God into the process of discernment, we can uncover that unique call and live His plan for our life more fully.
But, many of us have been taught to be untrusting of those desires and we never learn to properly discern. I hope to provide resources to help moms like me discern God’s dream for them so they can whole-heartedly pursue it!

LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
I absolutely love Jesus, traveling (especially to holy sites) and talking about homeschooling. I always have a podcast in the queue and I love to collect books in hopes of someday having enough time to read them. And when I can spare a few minutes I take time to work on our family scrapbook using Project Life.
